Although this web site is designed to be compatible with a wide range of browsers, and to function well with various browser settings, it is at it's best when viewed with the most recent versions of either Firefox or Internet Explorer and with javascript (or active script) enabled.
Probably the most significant brower setting that has the potential to affect your enjoyment of this site is whether or not "background images" are visible. If "background images" are turned off, you simply won't be able to see the larger versions of Uko's illustrations in the various galleries. They are visible by default so if you haven't turned them off, this isn't an issue for you.
If you're using an older version of Internet Explorer, such as IE 6, the edges of the illustration in the banner area (such as the beluga whale on this page) aren't going to look as smooth.
Although javascript (or active script) isn't required to use this site, you'll miss out on a few nice features if you don't allow it. These are rollovers and a convenient drop-down menu that you can use to get from one illustration gallery to another very quickly. If you're not sure about the difference between javascript and Java, you may want to do some research and/or talk to your web guru.
